Fallen
Nest
They
met and decided to build a nest
Together
they collected twigs and threads.
When
the perfect abode was thus done
They
went on to gather dreams and memoirs.
First
came the sun and then the moon
Followed
by spring that brought bees along.
Their
world was as wide as the nest
But
could be crossed with just two breaths.
Then
came the storms and the rains
Little
droplets that rolled up to create orbs.
It
shook both the nest and the hearts within
Clefts
formed that minds could no longer cross.
One
flew off and the other decide to quit
Empty
of love, the nest began to shrink
Out
came the sun and then the moon
And
beheld what was left of the fallen nest.
