Poem : Hope Stands Alone....But Stands!

There on the endless sands of time,
You shall find countless footprints by life,
Some deep, some oh! so shallow,
Some green and some so very yellow.

Many behind rocks and abandoned shells ,
Some in packs and some agonisingly solo,
Then they may vary in means and in way
But all headed for the same inevitable bay.

Some locked in coves of beating hearts,
Some shoved under worn out memoirs,
Several washed away by waves of thoughts,
Nonetheless, the gravels of hope remains past doubts.

Perished castles and empty seashells,
Glistening shingles and chips of marbles,
Reminiscences of those who walked the lengths,
With humour and grit, with spirits and strengths.

Yet, the waves rush to kiss the shores - amid intense storms,
For every crest has a trench and after every dawn comes a dusk,
Like every being has a certain wraith
So here lingers the eternal oath of faith.
