If only I could take away the grayness

And return the memories instead.

If only I could take away the dread

And return the confidence instead.

If only I could take away the stumble

And return the steadiness instead.

If only I could take away the languor 

And return the vitality instead.

If only I could freeze the wheels.

If only I could pause the advent.
